Service Description

The Work This week-long intensive is designed for actors who want to strengthen both their comedic and dramatic skills. Each evening is split between comedy and drama, giving students the opportunity to train in two distinct performance styles while developing range, adaptability, and confidence. Throughout the week, students work on both a comedic scene and a dramatic scene, exploring scene study, character work, physicality, emotional accessibility, and performance technique. By moving between genres each day, actors learn how different tools apply across styles and how to make stronger, more specific choices in both. Throughout the week, students will: • Rehearse and develop both a comedic and dramatic scene. • Explore comedic timing, character work, and physical comedy. • Strengthen dramatic scene study and emotional accessibility. • Build confidence shifting between contrasting performance styles. • Prepare two performance pieces for a live audience. The Result Students perform both a comedic scene and a dramatic scene in the Comedy to Tragedy Studio Showcase. You'll leave with stronger range, greater performance flexibility, and practical tools you can apply across auditions, rehearsals, and performance opportunities.
