Service Description

The Work This musical theater intensive is designed for singers and actors who want to strengthen their performance skills through song, staging, and ensemble work. Working daily in a collaborative studio environment, students rehearse and develop solo, duet, and ensemble musical theater numbers while receiving coaching in vocal performance, song interpretation, storytelling, and stage presence. The focus is on bringing songs to life through clear acting choices, strong vocal technique, and dynamic staging. Throughout the week, students will: • Rehearse solo, duet, and ensemble musical theater pieces. • Develop vocal technique, storytelling, and character work through song. • Explore staging, movement, and performance dynamics. • Build confidence performing both individually and as part of an ensemble. • Prepare material for a live public performance. The Result Students will perform the musical numbers developed throughout the week in a live showcase performance. You'll leave with stronger musical theater performance skills, increased confidence on stage, and material that can continue to serve your audition and performance goals. Summer Faculty LACAE Summer Intensives are taught by working industry professionals drawn from our faculty roster and guest artists. Instructors vary by workshop. Course Details Schedule: Monday – Friday, July 20 – July 24 | 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Capacity: Limited to 12 students. Investment: $475 Early Registration Price: $332.50.
