Service Description

The Work Ballads demand more than a beautiful voice. They require vocal control, emotional honesty, and the ability to hold an audience's attention through every phrase. In this four-night intensive, students work daily on ballad material through vocal coaching, lyric analysis, performance exercises, and individual feedback. The focus is on developing breath support, sustained phrasing, emotional connection, and storytelling while building healthy vocal habits that can support demanding material. Throughout the week, students will: • Work on a ballad of their choosing through daily coaching and rehearsal. • Strengthen breath control, vocal stamina, and sustained phrasing. • Analyze lyrics as dramatic text to create specific, playable choices • Develop emotional connection without sacrificing vocal technique. • Practice performing under pressure in preparation for a live audience. The Result You'll leave with stronger vocal technique, greater confidence performing ballads, a deeper understanding of storytelling through song, and a polished piece ready for auditions, cabaret performances, or future showcases.
