Service Description

Give your teen the opportunity to train like a working actor this summer. Future Artists Teen Intensive is an immersive performing arts experience where young artists strengthen their acting skills, build confidence, and explore stage and screen performance through hands-on training in a supportive, creative environment. Led by experienced teaching artists and working entertainment professionals, students train in LACAE's professional theater in North Hollywood, where creativity, collaboration, and artistic growth take center stage. Whether your teen is exploring acting for the first time or already has performance experience, our instructors meet every student where they are while encouraging them to take creative risks, grow as performers, and build lasting confidence. Students may enroll in either week individually or attend both weeks for a complete summer training experience. Each week features its own unique focus, curriculum, and showcase. Week 1: Craft & Character Acting • Scene Study • Improvisation • Ensemble Students strengthen their acting foundation through scene work, improvisation, character development, storytelling, and ensemble exercises. They develop authentic acting techniques, stronger communication skills, and greater confidence while preparing for a live showcase performance for family and friends. Week 2: Camera & Comedy On-Camera Acting • TV Comedy • Audition Technique • Digital Performance Students step in front of the camera to explore television, film, and digital storytelling through on-camera acting, TV comedy, audition technique, self-tape practice, and creative performance projects. The week concludes with a screening event featuring student-created scenes and projects. Throughout the Intensive, Students Will: • Build confidence on stage and on camera. • Strengthen acting technique through hands-on performance. • Develop creativity, communication, and collaboration skills. • Explore professional techniques for stage and screen. • Learn from experienced teaching artists and working industry professionals. • Share their work through weekly showcases for family and friends.
