    Admission Decisions

Applications are reviewed holistically by our admissions selection committee, with special attention to artistic readiness, alignment with the program, and demonstrated potential.

To confirm your enrollment, if accepted:

    - Complete all required enrollment forms and payments.

  • Yes. ACT III is open to international students.

ACT III students are officially enrolled through Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory (LAPAC), which is SEVIS-approved. Because LAPAC serves as the institution of record, all international enrollment, visa documentation, and regulatory compliance are handled through the Conservatory.

International applicants who are offered admission to ACT III are required to schedule an appointment as early as possible with Natalia Lazarus, LAPAC’s Designated School Official (DSO). During this meeting, students will review their individual visa needs and ensure that all documentation and timelines are compliant with SEVIS, BPPE, and NAST requirements.

Visa eligibility, timelines, and documentation vary by student, so early communication is essential. Admission to ACT III does not guarantee visa approval, but accepted international students will receive guidance and support through LAPAC’s established international student process.

  • ACT III is a one-year Acting Certificate Program consisting of 4 quarters (45 credits / 690 instructional hours) delivered through direct instruction.

Students enrolled in ACT III are officially registered through Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory (LAPAC), which serves as the institution of record and administers tuition, billing, and payment plans.

    Tuition by Residency Status

    • U.S. Residents: $5,250 per quarter

    • Non-Residents / International Students: $6,600 per quarter

    Estimated Total Program Tuition

    • 2026 cohort (completed on time): $21,000

    • 2026 cohort (completed on time): $25,200

Total charges may be higher for students who do not complete the program on time.

    Additional Fees

In addition to tuition, students should anticipate some additional administrative fees, which may include:

    • Enrollment and institutional fees

    • Program-related administrative costs

    • Additional fees specific to international students, related to SEVIS processing and required compliance documentation

All tuition charges, payment plans, financial aid options, and applicable fees are managed directly by LAPAC following acceptance into the program.

For the most up-to-date tuition details and a full breakdown of fees, applicants are encouraged to review the ACT III FAQ or speak directly with the admissions team.

  • ACT III students are officially enrolled through Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory (LAPAC), which administers all tuition and financial aid related to the program.

LAPAC offers financial assistance primarily through a need-based tuition discount for eligible students. LAPAC does not participate in federal or state financial aid programs such as FAFSA or Cal Grant, and federal student loans or grants are not available for this certificate program.

Because of this, most students fund their education through a combination of:

    • Personal funds

    • Tuition payment plans offered by LAPAC

    • External scholarships or private funding sources (when applicable)

In addition, limited, small scholarships may be available through LACAE's parent nonprofit organization, Future Artists of Los Angeles (FALA). These scholarships are awarded on a case-by-case basis and may consider both merit and demonstrated financial need. Availability is limited and not guaranteed.

Applicants interested in financial support are encouraged to:

    • Discuss tuition discounts and payment plan options with LAPAC during the admissions process

    • Explore external scholarship opportunities independently

    • Submit applications and required materials as early as possible, as funding considerations are handled on a rolling basis

  • No. Neither the Los Angeles Community of Acting & Entertainment (LACAE) nor the Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory (LAPAC) provides on-campus or guaranteed student housing.

However, LAPAC offers a student housing resources page with guidance and information to help students explore off-campus housing options in the Los Angeles area, including tips on neighborhoods, rentals, and general housing considerations.

You can view those resources here:
    https://www.laconservatory.edu/admissions/student-housing/

Housing arrangements are the responsibility of the student, and we encourage accepted students—especially those relocating or coming from outside the U.S.—to begin researching housing options as early as possible.

  • Our workshops are independent sessions designed to explore a variety of subjects in acting and entertainment. Unlike our professional training program, workshops do not require an admissions process and are open to anyone who registers.

What ages are the workshops for?

We offer workshops for both teens and adults:

    • Our Youth and High School Intensive Series is designed for students ages 9–17.

    • Our adult workshops are open to participants 18 and older.

ACT III is a year-long professional development academic certificate program offered in collaboration with the Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory. It is for students who have completed at least two years of post-secondary acting training and/or who have requisite professional experience.

  • Adults cannot drop in to our workshops, but LACAE offers several ways to experience our program before committing to a multi-week program, including Open Houses, one-day intensives, and LACAE Virtual Industry Q&A's.

Our Workshops + Intensives program is a fantastic way to get to know our teaching style and community, especially for anyone considering enrollment in the full ACT III Professional Development year!

To see a full listing of workshops and community classes, please visit our Workshops page. Upcoming Open Houses will be listed on the Now Playing section of our website.

  • No experience is required unless otherwise noted in the workshop description. Most of our workshops are designed to be accessible to beginners while still offering value to more experienced participants.

  • Each workshop may have slightly different requirements. After you register, we’ll send an email with any materials to bring, dress code (if applicable), or prep work. Generally, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing a notebook and water bottle.

  • Details about cancellations, refunds, and credits for our Workshops and Intensives can be found in our Terms of Service. Please review them carefully before registering. ACT III policies will be extensively covered in your Enrollment Agreement with LAPAC.

  • We understand that life happens. If you need to miss a class, just let us know and we’ll inform the instructor. While we encourage full participation, it’s completely fine if you can’t attend every session.

  • Absolutely. All youth workshops are staffed by qualified instructors and supervised at all times. We follow best practices for youth safety and maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio to ensure a positive and attentive learning environment.

  • To maintain a focused and supportive environment for our teen participants, workshops are closed to observers. However, we’re happy to answer any parent questions ahead of time and provide a short recap after the session if requested.

  • Some workshops may have limited financial assistance or discounts available. Please reach out to us directly if cost is a barrier, we want our programming to be accessible.

  • The Performer’s Pass allows you to enroll in unlimited workshops that begin within a single 30-day window. Your 30 days start on the start date of the first workshop you choose, and you may join any additional workshops that begin within that period. Each enrollment covers the full workshop session, and we ask that you only register for workshops you plan to attend for the duration, as space is limited.
