Service Description
Give your child a summer of creativity, confidence, and performance at Future Artists Theater Camp. Through acting, improvisation, musical theater, storytelling, and on-camera performance, campers build professional performance skills while making friends, expressing themselves, and having fun in a supportive, encouraging environment. Led by experienced teaching artists and working entertainment professionals, campers learn in LACAE's professional theater in North Hollywood, where creativity, collaboration, and self-expression take center stage. Whether your child is stepping on stage for the first time or already loves to perform, our instructors meet every student where they are, helping them grow in confidence, communication, creativity, and teamwork. Students may enroll in either week individually or attend both weeks for a complete summer performing arts experience. Each week features a unique theme, curriculum, and showcase for family and friends. Week 1: Stage Stories Acting • Improv • Musical Theater • Storytelling Young performers create characters, explore improvisation, develop scenes, and bring stories to life through acting, musical theater, and creative play. Campers build confidence, collaboration, and stage presence while preparing for a live showcase on the LACAE stage. Week 2: Screen Stories On-Camera Acting • TV Comedy • Audition Skills • Digital Storytelling Students step in front of the camera to explore television, film, and digital storytelling through acting exercises, comedy games, audition activities, and creative video projects. The week concludes with a screening event featuring the scenes, sketches, and original projects created throughout the week. Throughout Camp, Students Will: • Build confidence through performance and creative expression. • Strengthen communication, collaboration, and teamwork. • Explore acting, improvisation, musical theater, storytelling, and on-camera performance. • Develop skills for both stage and screen. • Learn from experienced teaching artists in a professional theater environment. • Celebrate their accomplishments through weekly showcases for family and friends.
