Service Description

Experience Level: Intermediate Recommended For: Actors with prior voice-over training who want focused coaching, polished reads, and a deeper understanding of character and animation voices. Join this Intermediate Animation Voice-Over Workshop, designed for performers ready to deepen their character work and strengthen their on-mic performance in animated storytelling. Do you have a foundational understanding of voiceover and character creation, but want to push your animation work further? In this intermediate-level class, we’ll build on the fundamentals of animation VO to refine your technique, expand your character range, and sharpen your acting choices. You’ll explore how to create dynamic, specific characters that live truthfully in heightened worlds, while maintaining vocal health, consistency, and clarity. Students will work individually in front of the mic, receiving targeted coaching and feedback on character, intention, and performance. You’ll leave with coached audio clips and a deeper understanding of your animation characters and voices, making this workshop both a focused skill-building experience and a meaningful step forward in your animation VO journey. Structure Each session focuses on guided reads, real-time adjustments, and performance refinement. Material and pacing are designed to challenge intermediate-level actors while allowing room for personal growth and exploration. Final coached audio clips will be recorded during the workshop in a booth-like setting. Early Registration Ends March 25 About the Instructor Kate Roth Kate is a performer and educator with a background in musical theater, voice-over, and dance. She holds a degree in Musical Theatre and a Teaching Credential from USC, with credits spanning stage, screen, commercials, and print in Los Angeles and New York. At LACAE, she teaches Teen Intensive Musical Theater as well as adult Voice-Over and Dance classes. Kate is an actor, voice-over artist, dancer, and singer, and can most recently be heard as the voice of Zaida in the Netflix series Valeria.

Cancellation Policy

Pay Now, Pay Later Option You may choose to pay a deposit online and pay the remaining balance in person before the first class. Your deposit reserves your spot in the workshop and is non-refundable. The remaining balance must be paid before the start of the first session. Students who have not completed payment by that time will not be permitted to participate, and their spot may be released to another student. A payment reminder is typically sent the day before the workshop begins, but students are responsible for ensuring their balance is paid on time.
