About the event

Enter the strange, haunting, and theatrical world of Edgar Allan Poe at The Annual Night of the Raven.


Hosted by Magic Castle magician Micah Cover, this one-night variety and magic show brings together actors, musicians, opera singers, magicians, and other performers for an evening inspired by one of literature’s most enduringly macabre voices.


The night builds toward two unforgettable performances. Actor Duffy Hudson takes the stage in character and costume as Edgar Allan Poe to perform The Tell-Tale Heart. Then Micah Cover presents an abridged recitation of The Raven while attempting to escape from a straitjacket.


Part literary tribute, part theatrical variety show, and part feat of magic, The Annual Night of the Raven offers a wonderfully unusual evening on the LACAE Stage.
