Stop the Winter Break Screen Time & Boredom Without a structured creative outlet over winter break, kids default to screens, lose their routine, and miss out on building real-world confidence. Missing an ensemble experience like this means passing up the chance to forge lasting friendships, develop public speaking skills, and shine on a real stage. Future Artists Winter Camp gives young performers a high-energy, immersive week of musical theater, acting, improv, and stage combat: culminating in an exciting live performance on the professional LACAE Stage for family and friends. Why Parents Love It All Skill Levels Welcome: Great for total beginners and experienced young actors alike. Separated by Age Group: Young Artists (Ages 8–12) and Teen Artists (Ages 13–17) train in focused cohorts with age-appropriate material. Full-Day Coverage: A structured 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule designed for working parents, with extended care options. What They’ll Learn MUSICAL THEATER: Rehearse dynamic Broadway medleys featuring ensemble choreography, vocal technique, and solo opportunities. ACTING: Build truthful characters, master line-memorization, and make bold choices for the stage. IMPROV: Fast-paced games that develop active listening, quick thinking, and social confidence. STAGE COMBAT: Learn the secrets behind safe theatrical fights! Master G-to-PG fight choreography for the final showcase battle. Working Professional Instructors Perry Hart: Award-winning musical director, vocal coach, and veteran theater educator. Orion Barnes: Award-winning fight choreographer, stunt professional, and current lead stage combat instructor at Young Actors Theatre Camp (YATC), Santa Rosa Jr. College and the Napa Valley Education Foundation.
