Service Description

Experience Level: Intermediate Recommended For: Actors with prior voice-over training who want focused coaching, polished reads, and professional-quality audio clips. Join this Intermediate Commercial Voice-Over Workshop, designed for performers ready to refine their technique and leave with coached audio material. Do you have a fundamental knowledge of commercial voiceover, but are not quite ready for the competitive audition market? In this intermediate level class, we will build upon the basics of commercial voiceover and move your technique, artistry, and acting choices to the next level by delving further into the various types of commercial voiceover with individual time in front of the mic, feedback, and recordings of your work. You found your voice, now let’s hone it. Students will receive individualized coaching and walk away with professionally coached audio clips, making this class both a skill-building experience and a practical step forward in your VO journey. Structure Each session focuses on guided reads, real-time adjustments, and performance refinement. Material and pacing are designed to challenge intermediate-level actors while allowing room for personal growth and exploration. Final coached audio clips will be recorded during the workshop. Early Registration Ends January 15th About the Instructor Kate Roth Kate is a performer and educator with a background in musical theater, voice-over, and dance. She holds a degree in Musical Theatre and a Teaching Credential from USC, with credits spanning stage, screen, commercials, and print in Los Angeles and New York. At LACAE, she teaches Teen Intensive Musical Theater as well as adult Voice-Over and Dance classes. Kate is an actor, voice-over artist, dancer, and singer, and can most recently be heard as the voice of Zaida in the Netflix series Valeria.
