Experience Level: Open Recommended For: Actors at any stage who want to add safe, exciting stage and on-camera combat skills to their toolbox. Stage and cinematic combat skills that pay the bills: safe and exciting stage combat techniques that every actor should know. This is a one-day, 4-hour intensive that will cover a wide range of stage combat skills, including, but not limited to: various unarmed styles, sword types, and on-set prop firearms etiquette and handling. This workshop is designed for a “fun!” and “focused” look at adding Action Actor skills to your resume. All skill levels welcome! Advance Registration Ends February 14 Meet Your Instructor Orion Barnes teaches stage and cinematic combat as well as intimacy direction across LACAE’s ACT III and Adult Workshops. He is a founding member of Sword Fights, Inc. Additionally, Orion holds advanced training in theatrical intimacy and consent-forward practices. He brings his expertise in acting, talent management, and fight choreography to help actors safely master physical storytelling for stage and screen.
