The Reel Gap

Service Description

If you’ve ever waited months for footage (or paid WAY too much for a “reel shoot” that didn’t feel like you), don't despair. There’s a better way to build your marketing materials. Self-tape footage is one of the strongest tools actors have right now. It’s fast, it’s affordable, and when it’s coached and lit well, it blends seamlessly with traditional reel clips. You don’t have to sit around waiting for a director to send you scenes or shell out a small fortune for a pre-written “reel package.” You can create the exact clip you need, right now. The Fill-In-The-Gaps Self-Tape Workshop is a four-week, hands-on class where you’ll work with Steve Fisher to identify what your reel is missing and build the footage that completes it. Together, you’ll choose material that supports your casting, rehearse with intention, and shoot short on-camera scenes in a self-tape style that looks clean, professional, and, most importantly, bookable. By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with high-quality footage that fills the gaps in your reel and strengthens your entire marketing package, without waiting on anyone else to deliver it. If you’ve been wanting to level up your reel without breaking the bank, this is how you do it. About The Instructor: Steven C Fisher, a SAG-AFTRA/AEA actor, writer, and producer. With extensive training from USC, BADA, and Upright Citizens Brigade, Steven is a company member at Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. He has created his own original digital content and is an expert in on-camera work, making him the perfect guide for this practical, results-driven workshop. What to Bring: Please come dressed in comfortable clothing that allows for movement. Bring a notebook and pen for notes, and a water bottle is recommended to stay hydrated. Phones will not be allowed in class.
