The Reel Gap

Los Angeles On-Camera Acting Class

From 105 US dollars
Camarillo Street

Service Description

Experience Level: Career-Focused Recommended For: Actors early in their careers who need strong, usable footage, as well as experienced actors looking to fill specific gaps in their reel. If you’ve ever waited months for footage, or paid far too much for a “reel shoot” that didn’t feel like you, there’s a better way to build your marketing materials. Self-tape footage is one of the strongest tools actors have right now. It’s fast, affordable, and when it’s coached and lit well, it blends seamlessly with traditional reel clips. You don’t have to wait on a director to send footage or invest in a one-size-fits-all reel package. You can create the exact clips you need, right now. The Fill-In-The-Gaps Self-Tape Workshop is a four-week, hands-on intensive where you’ll work with Steve Fisher to identify what’s missing from your reel and build footage that completes it. Together, you’ll select material that supports your casting, rehearse with intention, and shoot short on-camera scenes in a self-tape style that looks clean, professional, and bookable. By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with high-quality footage that strengthens your reel and your overall marketing package, without waiting on anyone else to deliver it. If you’re ready to level up your materials without breaking the bank, this is how you do it. Advance Registration Ends February 20 About the Instructor Steven C Fisher is a SAG-AFTRA and AEA actor, writer, and producer with extensive training from USC, BADA, and Upright Citizens Brigade. He is a company member and a member of the casting team at Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, an actor with theatre, television, and voice-over credits, and a director/producer who has created award-winning original digital content of his own. Steven specializes in on-camera work and actor-driven material, making him an ideal guide for this practical, results-focused workshop. What to Bring Comfortable clothing that allows for movement, a notebook and pen for notes, and a water bottle.
