Service Description

Have you always wanted to try improv, but kept putting it off? Here’s a secret: you’re overthinking it. If your week feels full of plans, checklists, and playing it safe, Tiny Chances is your invitation to step out of your head and into a fun, supportive creative outlet. You don’t need acting experience or quick wit; just a willingness to show up, laugh, and try something new. In this welcoming, low-stakes six-week class designed specifically for first-timers, you’ll practice giving yourself permission to play. Together, we’ll explore the core foundations of improv while focusing on staying present, connecting authentically with others, and discovering the freedom that happens when you let go of the script. Whether you’re looking to shake up your routine, boost your everyday self-trust, or simply spend three hours a week belly-laughing with great people, improv is one of the most rewarding ways to reconnect with your spontaneous side. Let’s practice taking tiny chances! In this class, you’ll: Learn the fundamental principles of "Yes, And..." in a warm, zero-judgment space. Quiet your inner critic and build confidence trusting your immediate instincts. Strengthen active listening and genuine connection with supportive classmates. Uncover spontaneous humor naturally through games, exercises, and group play. Practice letting go of perfectionism and embracing unexpected moments. Step out of everyday routine and give yourself a dedicated creative playground. No performance pressure. No high stakes. Just a playful space to stretch your creative muscles, meet great people, and build confidence one tiny chance at a time. Instructor Spotlight Amy Bury is an actress, comedian, and motion graphic designer who has studied improv and sketch at top institutions including The Groundlings, UCB, and Westside Comedy Theater. She has performed at San Francisco Sketchfest, Hollywood Fringe, and Chicago Women's Funny Festival (and occasionally plays moms in TV commercials!).
