What’s Happening at LACAE Theater: Fall 2026 Acting Classes, Performances & Film Events in North Hollywood

We may be winding down the halcyon days of summer, but things are only getting busier at LACAE Theater.

Located in the NoHo Arts District in North Hollywood, the Los Angeles Community of Acting and Entertainment (LACAE) Theater is heading into fall after a summer filled with performances, professional actor training, film events, workshops, youth programming, and an ever-growing community of artists making work under our roof.

Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to and what’s coming next at LACAE.

A Full Summer at LACAE Theater

As this was our first summer at the theater, this was a summer of firsts!

We hosted our first LACAE Talent Show, welcomed audiences for the ACT III Sketch Show and the ACT III production of Where The Fireflies Rest, launched our first Future Artists Summer Camp, and brought actors into the building for a full slate of Summer Intensives.

LACAE also welcomed members of the independent television community for our FYC Nomination Celebration, alongside an exciting lineup of guest productions, rehearsals, performances, screenings, and creative projects.

Our theater even made an appearance on screen.

Artist Blue recently released the music video for “oh, lover (live in los angeles),” filmed right here at LACAE Theater. Seeing the space transformed through another artist’s lens is one of our favorite parts of opening our doors to the Los Angeles creative community.

Fall Acting Classes and Workshops in North Hollywood

With summer programming wrapping up, a new season of acting and entertainment training is beginning at LACAE.

Our Fall 2026 workshops and classes are designed for artists looking for a place to keep working, experimenting, and developing their craft in Los Angeles.

This season includes:

  • Advanced Acting Lab

  • Acting With Authenticity

  • Sing Your Story

  • The Ultimate Writing Machine

  • Advanced Commercial Voice-Over

  • Tap For Performers

  • Through The Lens: On-Camera Acting with Alexa Pereira (Sold Out)

  • Young Artists Acting Lab for ages 12–16

The lineup spans acting technique, scene study, on-camera work, voice-over, writing, musical performance, dance, and training for young performers.

Many LACAE workshops are built for working and developing artists who want focused training without stepping away from the rest of their creative lives. Classes are taught by working professionals and designed around what artists actually do in the room: rehearse, explore, make choices, take risks, and create.

Early registration is still available for most Fall 2026 classes.

ACT III Takes the Stage For Their Final Bow(s)

eptember will also mark an important milestone for our current ACT III Professional Training Program cohort.

Before graduating, the artists will take the stage for two final events: ACT III Solo Performances (TBD) and the LAPAC Graduation Showcase on September 24 at LACAE Theater.

Directed by Emmy-nominated actress and director Deborah Baker Jr., the Graduation Showcase gives the cohort one final opportunity to share their work before taking the next step in their professional careers.

We’re looking forward to filling the theater with friends, family, members of the LACAE community, and entertainment industry professionals.

Agents, managers, casting directors, writers, filmmakers, showrunners, directors, and other industry professionals interested in discovering and collaborating with emerging talent are invited to request early access before general RSVPs open.

Additional showcase details and general reservations will be announced soon.

A New ACT III Cohort Begins This October

As one group of ACT III artists prepares to graduate, another is getting ready to begin.

The ACT III Professional Training Program is a one-year career accelerator for actors who already have foundational conservatory or equivalent training and are ready to bridge the space between training and a sustainable professional career.

The program combines advanced acting work with on-camera training, television, film, voice-over, producing, writing, digital content creation, career development, and opportunities to create and perform original work.

Auditions are currently underway for the next ACT III cohort beginning in October 2026.

FALA Fest: Shorts Edition Brings Los Angeles Filmmakers to NoHo

This fall, filmmakers are joining the action too.

FALA Fest: Shorts Edition, presented by Future Artists of Los Angeles, is coming to LACAE Theater this October.

Created as a filmmaker-first celebration of the people making independent work throughout Los Angeles, FALA Fest welcomes short films from artists working across the LA film community, both in front of and behind the camera.

Submissions are currently open, with a final submission deadline of September 3.

We’re also sourcing screenplays for an upcoming FYC Independents Staged Reading taking place during the festival, giving local writers an opportunity to hear their work performed live by Emmy®-recognized talent.

Around the LACAE/FALA Community

What happens outside our theater matters to us, too.

One of our favorite parts of building LACAE is getting to watch the artists in our community make work throughout Los Angeles.

This month, LACAE community member Tim Byron Owens is directing Being Piaf, a two-weekend engagement presented as part of Odyssey Theatre Ensemble’s ongoing “Music at the Odyssey” series.

Actress, singer, and writer Eleanora Owen brings the life and legendary repertoire of Édith Piaf to the stage in a solo performance celebrating the artist’s resilience, triumph, and unmistakable joie de vivre.

And there is always more happening.

If you’re part of the LACAE community and have a casting announcement, upcoming production, screening, new project, or creative milestone to celebrate, we want to hear about it. Send your news to info@futureartistsla.org for consideration in an upcoming community update.

What’s Next at LACAE Theater

Fall is shaping up to be another busy season in North Hollywood.

There will be actors in classrooms, filmmakers on screen, artists on stage, new work in development, and plenty more still to announce.

Whether you’re looking for professional acting classes in Los Angeles, interested in seeing a performance, searching for a creative community, or looking for a North Hollywood theater for your own production or event, we hope you’ll come see what’s happening at LACAE.
